In order to properly Join or Search on EFriend Finder, you must REGISTER first. You will make up a handle and immediately get your password via email. Registering for Efriend Finder automatically registers you for the Chathouse. (Already registered Chathouse members do NOT have to re-register for Efriend Finder). Once you find a match you like, leave him/her a message in the Message Center or you can also pick up new messages from people who matched with you.
