The
Chathouse
~Chat Dominatrix~
Recently
there were a few, a very few comments on what a good job the
Chathouse has been doing. These in turn have reminded us of how many
chatters there are that go the extra mile to help make the house a better
place to chat. So in recognition of these chatters, the Chathouse has
created an award to be given to those that take that extra step for
others.
Those
voted to receive this award will be announced here in the Ezine and an
award will be given to them to post on their Homepage. A banner will also
be posted in their room for a week, acknowledging their efforts.
If
you have a chatter in your room that takes that extra step maybe helping
new chatters, or creating pages for the room, or just helping in making
your room a better place to chat.
Then please submit their handle, along with a few comments on how
they make your room a better place to chat, so that we may give them a
little recognition and say Thank You.
With
that being said, I'm happy to announce the first chatter to receive the
Chathouse Award!
º¤Ãmèríkåz
Mó§t WãñtéÐ Çråçk夺
This chatter has several handles, but the one that won him this award is IconMaster.
Amerikaz Most Wanted is a 23 year old male from Wisconsin. He's been
chatting at the Chathouse since Jan.98, with Cloud 10 being his favorite
room.
When asked if he was single he replied...."I'm with a very special
and very sweet female who I love and adore so much, she is my world she is
my everything, we met in chathouse cloud 10, her handle it Is Sparx &
UNYQUI."
He says his hobbies are chatting, reading and writing romantic poetry,
making homepages, and chatting with MY BABY VERONICA.
He
has made over 175 icons for the chatters in the java rooms and that number
increases everyday. He is also in the process of making a dedication page
for the chatters of Cloud 10.
So
for all his hard work in helping the chatters and helping make Cloud 10 a
better place to chat, the Chathouse is honored to present him with the Chathouse
Award!

My Two Cents
on the Internet
Part 3
Could the Internet
be the revival of the "Mom & Pop" type stores and businesses? Can
small business compete with big business on the internet?
Actually, on this
issue the answer may very well be a resounding YES! I have been dabbling with
the idea of starting a business online for some time now. Over the last year I
have read everything I could get my hands on in regards to online business
opportunities, online marketing and advertising, and what is HOT online.
Everyone has heard
about the infamous "Dot-Com Millionaires" as well as the more recent
"Dot-Bombs", online businesses folding left and right. What is
interesting about all this success and failure is that it has highlighted the
opportunities and limitations of the internet for business. It also illustrates
the ever-changing nature of the internet. What made someone a millionaire 2
years ago will make you BROKE today!
But, the most
important aspect of the internet in a business sense is the level playing field
it provides for anyone and everyone willing to put forth the effort to start a
business online. Whether you are a mega-corporation or a Mom & Pop you can
have an equally impressive and profitable web-based business. Through modern
technology, a sole proprietor can easily handle the same amount of business as
an international corporation. Another key aspect of doing business online is the
fact that it can be done for a fraction of what traditional overhead would cost
for a "corner store-type business".
Alas, the question
arises, What kind of business should you start or try to run online? Well, going
back to the reports, that started this series, regarding what people are doing
online, let's see what would be the most profitable! What are people doing? Finding
information and communicating with others! The
Zatso study revealed that reading and getting news was the most popular online
activity after email.
So obviously INFORMATION is a hot commodity on the internet and email is the
most popular way of getting it. With email auto-responders such as AWeber,
GetResponse
(free version available) and SmartReply
(free version available) all you have to do is supply the information and
find a market for it, then the auto-responders put the whole thing on auto-pilot
for you. Whether it is News, hobbies, clubs, associations or marketing another
online business with auto-responders you can automate much of the most
time-consuming portions of your business.
That is just ONE
tool available online that levels the playing field between the Mom & Pop's
and the big corporations when working online! There are also numerous others
such as Free advertising like Banner ads (BannersGoMLM),
EZINE advertising (EZineMONEY),
and much, much more! Not only has the internet given the Mom & Pop's a much
needed advantage in the marketplace, but it has given ANYONE with a little
entrepreneurial spirit the opportunity to carve out their own little niche in
cyberspace!
While the free tools
available for doing business on the internet help level the field, there
is still some truth to the saying that "It takes money to make money".
Fortunately, it doesn't take nearly as much when doing business online! If
you have any interest in starting a business on the Net, want to improve upon
your results from an existing Web presence, or are merely looking to build a solid
second income? SiteSell.com
is a MUST see before you even think of taking your next step!
Ken Evoy (mastermind behind SiteSell.com)
is widely regarded as an undeniable Authority in the Internet Marketing field. SiteSell.com
and it's package of SiteSell Products are absolutely essential to ANYONE
planning to do business on the internet. This, too, is just the tip of the
iceberg! Check out Buy-Line
Website Promotion for even more tools available for online marketing and
advertising!
The internet has indeed given new life to
Mom & Pop and sole proprietor businesses, not to mention the home-based
business boom on the internet!
NEXT WEEK:
Could the internet
put the TRUTH back into the News? With alternative sources of News and
Information, could the internet break the monopoly of the "liberal
media" in the dissemination of the News?
Could the internet
bring true "representation" back into our "Representative
Government"? Are the lines of communication between the politicians and the
people they represent starting to open up again? Can our voices be heard over
the lobbyists via the internet?
I would be
interested to hear your opinions on these questions and I will elaborate on each
as I continue this series: My Two Cents on the Internet!

Citizens
for Constitutional Government & Help Abolish the IRS!
So, what have you got to say?
Let me know and I'll tell you if it's
worth 2 cents!

Horoscopes
By Texas Storm
Aries
March 21 - April 19
The phrase 'impartial observer' is an oxymoron.
Anything that you experience is sure to include hands-on participation. Your
appetite for the new and different is matched by your stamina.
Taurus
April 20 - May 20
Stay on your best behavior. You never know which of
these unfamiliar faces may have seen your resume. Today's casual remark could
lead to tomorrow's enormous consequences.
Gemini
May 21 - June 20
The alternative to moving and shaking is to stay
right where you are. The human ingredient makes it all so delicious that you
want to savor every moment. Why end a good thing before it's over?
Cancer
June 21 - July 22
The damage is obvious, but rebuilding may not yet
be possible. As long as you don't disconnect from reality, you can afford a
share of fantasy. The sound of running water is especially soothing.
Leo
July 23 - August 22
You learn the secret of leadership. You can always
command respect, but others are willing to help because they like you. Cheer
people through their strengths, and nurture them through their weaknesses.
Virgo
August 23 - September 22
Your independent mind cringes when someone else
questions your direction. Yes, others have noticed the aimless course of your
drift. Study the charts to gain some idea of where this current will take you.
Libra
September 23 - October 22
The future is already happening. The old hurts and
grudges lie abandoned in the trash heap of history. You can't resist peeking at
the last page to see how the story will end.
Scorpio
October 23 - November 21
You're involved in a business, movement or
relationship that's getting too big to handle. Outside influences lead you to
question your feelings. At the moment, your priority is to keep the peace.
Sagittarius
November 22 - December 21
Nobody's permanent, but you can have a
long-lasting effect on your surroundings. Pick the lucky number, and share the
winnings with your friends. Your inner puppy bounces with frisky energy.
Capricorn
December 22 - January 19
You get to call the shots, even if someone else
doesn't agree. Why labor under a regime that has no meaning for you? The only
way for things to change is if you make them happen yourself.
Aquarius
January 20 - February 18
You're in love with a person, place or idea. Any
obstacle that stands in your way is simply to be ignored. No matter what you do,
you end up in the company of people who share your values.
Pisces
February 19 - March 20
If you would be respected, give others their due.
You may need a stronger safety net once your luck wears thin. Your public
persona is a larger-than-life version of what you really believe in.

Poetry Corner
The Brink of Waking
In my dreams, my friends are still all alive and vibrant
The colors might be wrong, and when I speak they may all be distant
But, nonetheless, when I dream, they are all there from time to time
Time... time... time to wake comes too fast in a flood of sunshine
I try to hold myself just a moment more on the brink of waking
To capture the sounds of their laughter, before the sobs once again set me to shaking
I want just that last second of sleep to capture their faces vibrant and full of life
I want to embrace this empty fantasy one last time before reality jabs in the knife
In my dreams, my fiancé and I are still a happy couple in our old apartment
The textures may be constantly changing from wood, to carpet, to cement
But, nonetheless, when I dream, she is still held against me, soft and lovely
Lovely... lovely... lovely how it was before the end of our serendipity
I try to hold myself just a moment more on the brink of waking
To remember her scent, whispered nothings, and smile before the sobs set me to shaking
I want just that last second of sleep to capture her face so loving and trusting in me
I want to embrace this empty fantasy one last time before I writhe again under the immeasurable weight of being lonely... lonely... lonely

WWF: I just wanted to make a few comments on Wrestling this week, honestly, just a few!
First of all concerning the Undertaker, who is now by far my favorite wrestler. Not only is he the first male I've seen in a long time refrain
from hitting a women when Debra slapped him across the face but he's also voiced his lovely thoughts on such an issue after
he and Kane stopped Austin and Triple H from beating the hell out of Lita again. He said something like this (forgive me if my quote isn't exact) 'whoever
told those boys that beating up women and commentators made them badasses......." Meaning what? Meaning that it doesn't and they're
sadly mistaken. It's true, It's damn true. Now, speaking of Lita, we all know she doesn't have a chance in hell against Chyna at
Judgement Day, unless of course she's dumb enough to stand in the corner and wait for Chyna to do her silly little flip across the entire
ring that anybody could get out of the way of or someone interferes (a certain Latino comes to mind), but the match is going to be awesome! The two best women wrestlers in a long time
are going to battle it out and it should be a sight that due to my work schedule I won't see first hand. Just the way the challenge was made brought a broad
grin to my face, I actually laughed! I laughed even more when Lita smacked Chyna's ass on RAW and thought it wonderfully sportsman like for Chyna to go into the ring and
raise Lita's hand in victory over Molly Holly. Any talk of Lita makes me think of the Hardy Boyz and then I have to pause to wipe my chinny, chin, chin. Jeff Hardy is to die for and I wish that
just one day I could have him, just one day, is that too much to ask? Hell, I'd be happy with even just a couple of hours!! Judgement Day is less than two weeks
away, so, who's going to tape it for me? Mother's Day:
Holidays aren't really my thing, they fall right in with birthdays for me, useless. However there are four that I believe in without a doubt: Christmas (the celebration of the birth of Christ), Easter (the Resurrection of Jesus),
and although I feel they're both just commercial holidays (like so many others) created to make money, Mother's and Father's day. Why? Because without Mother's and Father's procreating we would not exist. I mean really, HELLO?!
Parents bring us into this world and behold us in all our naked newborn glory, they hold us and promise to be the best parents they can be. And although I realize not all parents live up to these promises and I realize that some
don't even bother making these promises, I also realize that those who do make a difference. Those who take this pilgrimage seriously and try to live up to their end of the bargain as best they know how are the ones that these holidays celebrate.
Parents like mine, and hopefully like yours, they have so much to do with the final outcome of their childs character, although, sad as it is to say, so does society. My parents instilled me with an overwhelming
sense of independence, something I thank them and God for quite often, but this independence, in the end, had as much if not more to do with my final result as they did. Maintaining this independence meant making most of my choices
as a teen and young adult without first asking for their help or guidance and I realize now that I should have went to them about many of the choices I made
before making them. However, in the end this is how I look at it; though they instilled me with this great gift they were still there to offer guidance and set rules and help shape my mental being. They were still there for me whether I went to them or not
and in a way this made me an even stronger individual today than I would have if I'd had parents who might have given me complete fredom with my life. I thank them for caring enough to give me a curfew, making me get a job at 16 (even if I didn't keep it long), setting rules and guide lines for me to
live by yet at the same time allowing me to flex my independence and try it on for size. I realize that with this came mistakes I made, but they are my own and each lesson learned from these mistakes are also my own, they are no one elses and
shall never be and these, too, had much to do with the shaping of my person and character. Without my parents I have no idea where my life might have taken me or where I might have drown in it, without them I don't think I would be much more than nothing. What did I learn growing up?
Responsibility. liability, duty, independence, honesty, and what being loved felt like. How did they teach me these things? I have no clue, but I hope someday to figure it out so that I might teach my children the same things!
Is your mom nearby? Believe it or not, after speaking with a few moms do you know what one of the best loved gifts they could recieve from they children would be? TIME. Spend time with your mom and not just on her day either! You owe her for
a thousand kissed boo-boos, hundreds of hugs and kisses after bad dreams, millions of goodnight kisses and so much more.
Happy Mothers Day to all the Moms TOP
