The Flipside
Michigan Storm™

I can honestly say I've went to The Flipside about every other day this week and each time I've been there, whether it be day or night, the only rooms with any chatters in them has been the teen rooms. I can't speak for everyone that write for the Ezine that went to the floor, but I can speak for myself, I've never had any luck in teen rooms and this time was no different. You go inside and those that are actually talking in public are so into some conversation about the latest boy band that they don't even realize ten new people entered the room. If you ask them for input for the Chathouse you're lucky to get any responce at all, but then again their responces make you wonder if you'd feel luckier if they hadn't replied at all. So, for any of you or any group of friends looking for for a new place to meet the Flipside has a shit load of empty chat rooms with names such as The Ant Farm, Experimental Lab, The Moosehead Lodge and All Night Party just to name a few. These baron shelters are just waiting for someone to come use them!
While I was on The Flipside I did follow a link and sign up for a
Free Digital Phone though! It looked like a pretty good Deal!!! Ooooooh.. and I followed another link that caught my attention for some unknown reason, CarParts.com and I played with that for a while =). It was GREAT!! So at least I found something to do on that level!!

Featured Chatter
Kimber™
Buffy
1. Handles that you chat under "búffy bábé" & "babe_vamp_slayer".

2. How did you decide on the handle (s)? Basically i am a big fan of the tv series - Buffy The Vampire Slayer!

3. Location UK/England - midlands.

4. Information on chatting.. *L* How long have you been chatting and which rooms do you normally chat in, etc. I have been chatting on chathouse for about 5 weeks i think but its all a blur really. I mainly chat in Flip-Side - Rave Teens 16-19, but if i get bored there then i wonder around the rooms a bit trying to find someone that interests me.

5. Age and Zodiac Sign I am 20, young and mature-most of the time, but u have to let go and have fun when u chat in chathouse, I'm a Leo - and proud of it! Most of the time i am a cute cuddly kitten but if someone gets on the wrong side of me or start picking on me i turn into a hungry lion! I am mainly just looking for a good laugh with friends!

6. Marital Status well i am not married, but there is a b/f lurking in the background.

7. Kids No kids yet! I am hoping to have my own little child not too far in the future - it is something that my b/f and i feel we really want.

8. Pets Love animals! I myself have a dog = Ollie, a cat = Ashleigh, and a mouse = Buffy. I live with my mom still (bummer) and she also has a dog = Tina, two cats = Jasper & Socks, and two rosella birds = Ricky &Rosie.

9. Profession.. If in school.. Profession that you plan to go into I am a full-time curtain track and pole assembler for Newell Window Fashions. I also have a part-time mobile disco - "Topaz Discos". My b/f and i run it together - i usually do the djing and my b/f does the drinking *l*.

10. Hobbies and Interests ~ Well i enjoy doing disco's - getting people up dancing. ~ I have a 125cc Gilera Runner motorbike which i have had 5 months now but haven't really rode it that often due to the weather mainly, but when i can i enjoy cruising around on it. ~ I enjoy taking photos of storms, sunsets, landscapes, children and animals (not an easy combination to photograph *l*), i have my own TLR (twin-lens reflex) camera which i use. ~ I just luv listening to music. ~ I don't usually watch that much tv - just Buffy and Angel, but I have become addicted to the Popstars series and i enjoy watching SM:TV and CD:UK on a Saturday morning.

11. Music Preferences I mainly listen to Rn'B and Pop music but i do like an array of different songs from rave, garage, dance, rock, it depends how i feel.

12. Pet Peeves If u mean bad habits that i have - probably taking too long in the bathroom. I also have a tendency to burp in public without remorse and i would say that i don't fart very discreetly most of the time - comeon it is a natural thing everyone has to do it. I cant really think of any bad habits that other people have which get on my nerves (leaving the seat up doesn't bother, i mean the men have to pick the lid up to pee so what difference does it make if the women have to put it down to use the toilet). I suppose my b/f's untidyness does sometimes bug me but most of the time i am just the same so i can't really complain.

13. A favorite Motto or Quote to live by I think we should live for today because u don't know how long your life will be and it is possible that for some reason it may be cut short. If u have a goal or something u really want to do, then go for it -u never know if u can do it unless u try, if u fail then at least u have had a go.

14. Anything else that you'd like people to know about you? *S* If u haven't guessed yet then here is my chance to tell u that i am female. I enjoy chatting with people in chathouse, be it a serious advice talk, a friendly chin-wag or even if i am in the mood i like to flirt with the fellows *s*. I am about 5'7" (i did think i was 5'5" but apparently i have grown in the past couple of years - yeh!), i have golden brown hair and blue eyes. If i get to know someone as a friend i might even send them a photo of me.

15. Changes or improvements that you'd like to see at the Chathouse™ One problem i find is that there are a lot of people who just want to cybersex - could there be a room especially for this activity or if there is one could u advertise it more - to get them out of the normal chat rooms, it is very off putting when u are trying to have a decent conversation with someone. Another problem is that we seem to get some really narrow minded chatters that like to pick fights with people because they have a different opinion or like something that they don't like, i know u cant work miracles and there is probably nothing u can do about it but i just thought u should know that we are getting quite a few of these chatters in just lately and they are very annoying. Some nights i just take it with a pinch of salt (which is probably the best way) but some times they get too personal and it can upset people.

LGE's Mail Bag

Dear LadyGreenEyes™,
I`m from Sussex in the U.K.  I`ve only just got this technology through cable tv.  I wonder whether Americans get annoyed with English Written English.  It's taken me a long time of reading American books to get used to American English.  The word I hated most was gotten but then I read a book written in 17th century English and found it was commonly used at this time when of course many went from England to America.  Most American English is more logically spelt than English.  It is now likely to replace English English due to the much closer ties brought about by technology like this.  Hope to meet more Americans via this site.
Peace and love, Kosmic

Dear Kosmic,
Thanks for taking the time to write in and give us your opinion.  I can't speak for Americans as a whole, but I don't have any problem with British English.  I think some of the spellings and sayings are rather cute. :)  You might be right though, that American English will soon be the standard.  I guess we will just have to watch and see.  Glad to have you as a Zine reader.

The Flip Side

The Flip Side is a public access floor, that holds 13 different rooms and when full can hold 420 chatters. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond my control,  thats about as far as I got on The Flip Side.
So look for more to come in up coming articles.

My2Cents

I try to meet with My2cents and the editor at least once or twice a week on the weeks we feature a floor. This week, I'm not sure if it was due to my lack of time or the lack of couth in our last conversation.

He and I were chatting about the last few articles, when mine on pet peeves came up. Which then led into maybe I would be adding a spot for one IRL pet peeve a week, so we started exchanging a few.

It was then that I realized how learning just one pet peeve, can change your perspective of a person. So My2Cents and I then debated those two very things. The fact that I disagreed with his ((peeve)) and the fact that knowing someone's pet peeves can be very insightful to who and what they are.

So we decided and agreed to leave it to the chatters to decided. Without actually telling you the pet peeve that we discussed...

 I ask you, the chatters....
Can Knowing a pet peeve or two of a person, tell you anything about them? If so, does what it tells you hold enough merit, that you can actually grade a personality with it? Or maybe just take a few points off the final grade.
Or is a pet peeve, just that. A pet peeve and nothing more?

Chathouse News

Images/tags

There have been some rooms having trouble with posting tags throughout this past week due to some work being done behind the scenes.
The Chathouse wanted to extend their apologies for this inconvenience and to remind you to please leave a note in the Complaint Forum should similar problems occur in the future.
They said if it wasn't for the complaints left there about missing tags, they wouldn't have been aware of this problem.
(( see, sometimes complaining can be a good thing! ))

Gossip

Rumor has it that the Ladies Room is having a IRL gathering.                     RT LR Get Together Take 2

Stolen Forum Post

Hello. I just want to take a minute and ask you if you have ever gone into a room and no one talks to you? And if you do talk to people is it boring. Well the Dragon Knights are/will be a group of people who get together and role play. If you would like to learn more on them go to Dragon Knights At this site you can learn more on the knights. It is so far under construction and might be for some time now.

The Ladies Room Janitor
 It's been decided!!!
The Ladies Room Now has two Janitors and one on standby. One question though, how many men do you think will be throwing things on the floor to see if Vixen drops that sheet when she cleans it up?
I might have to lend her one of my loaner whips to help with her duties!

The Janitors
(( This link is to pics of the janitors and may be considered rated ®

Minx and Gypsy Lady sent in an email with the farewell of the contest.

Dear ChatDom,
Gyps and I had fun with the Janitor contest. some of the entries were hilariously funny, either because they were supposed to be or because the person thought it was a real job! *L* Unfortunately, we did have to disqualify a couple of entries because of poor sportsmanship, but overall it was fun. Don't ask us do to it again though! *L**platonic non-bisexual smooches just for you* *L
* Minx67 &
Gypsy Lady

It sounds to me as though they might be interested in any and all future ideas such as the janitor one. So if any of you out there have any such idea's, Be sure to look them up! Their email addy's are still on the above link, but I'd hurry, I'm sure as soon as they read this, it won't be! ~LOL~

But seriously, I would like to thank them and all of you that took the time to fill out the applications. It was alot fun to read through them all!!
And Karl, while your on stand by, I just might have a job or two for you. Let me know if your interested in maybe a little moonlighting.

I GOT MAIL!
~*Chat Diva*~

Hey I got mail this week again and from the same person, my abhorring fan- Seether™. She writes with such valor and sincerity that now she's even got me convinced, she has persuaded me that she honestly believes these things she writes about! And, that my friend, is all I'm convinced of!
(her email is in
white and mine is in this fabulous pink.)

Well, it seems that we have need to move this discussion out of the forum and into the "War Room" where it will soon belong!
I find your opinions of Triple H to be completely warped.  Surely, you would agree that Triple H matches MAKE the Pay-Per-View events. If you saw "No Way Out" (and I'm sure that you did), then you saw the match between Helmsley and Austin, the best match on wrestling since the infamous TLC match between the Hardys, Dudleys, and Edge and Christian (or as I like to call them, Yummy and Mmm Mmm).  There were steel chairs, a sledge hammer, a cage, a 2X4 wrapped in barbed wire...what more could a wrestling fan ask for??  In the words of JR, WHAT A SLOBBERKNOCKER!  Both men took one HELLuva beating, but in the end, of course, it was Triple H whose hand was raised in victory.

The ONLY two reasons Triple H's matches are such a big deal on the PPV specials are as follows:
1. Because of who they put in the ring with him!
2. Because his storyline has him married to the boss' little bitch test-tube creation.
Yes I saw NWO and I thought the matches between HHH and Austin were great, until the end of course. The last match of three was luck of the fall and that is all there was to it. Both men were physically exhausted, I mean come on there was actually real blood this time and even if it was all fake it's tiring and who ever landed on top when they both calapsed from exhaustion was going to win. Triple H got lucky, PERIOD!

My point is this-  I'm not arguing with you because I want you to like Triple H.  I wouldn't be one to talk, I can't stand the most popular wrestler, The Rock, and most everyone else just loves him to pieces.
I DO, however, think that you don't give Triple H even half the credit due him. These men aren't JUST personalities, they are also phenomenal athletes.  You don't even credit him for his obvious strength and abilities or his sheer "testicular fortitude".  The nicest thing that you credit him is about his entrance music?? "Duh, I like his theme song George".  It seems to me that everyone is so quick to jump on the "Rocky" bandwagon, that people are checking their individualism at the arena doorways. Funny, I bet in a simple twist of storyline, those same "Rocky" fans, could find themselves betrayed by their hero and (yes, even you) cheering for someone new.  Maybe, just maybe, even someone as "terrible" as Triple H.  Just remember.....I liked him all along. *S*  ....and uh, he is uh, THAT DAMN GOOD...in my humble opinion.

FYI I could care less if HHH ever wears THE belt, I'll never like him. I hate his "character" and I've seen him on the only episode of Pacific Blue I've ever watched and he couldn't UH act then UH either. No matter how many matches he wins he'll still be a loser to me. I remember Triple H when he went by his full "stage name", Hunter Hearst Helmsley, and wore a three piece 1000$ suit, I couldn't stand him then either. It's a given he's got a great body, was it earned? Yes I think so, that's one more thing I'll credit him for, I don't think he's a steroid junkie (like a certain Latino Heat). So, I credit him for a total of four things- His entrand song, his body, his lack of 'roids and that he's got longer prettier hair than most women I know.
As for Rocky, I've liked him as long as I can remember watching him wrestle. I was a WWF fan for a while when he was new to the business, but then due to living arrangements I actually missed a few years of the action, but now I'm back! And you can bet that when Triple H becomes an even bigger loser than he is right now and you can no longer stand to look at him that I will remember that YOU LIKED HIM ALL ALONG! And you keep in mind, when that day comes along, that I never did.

Now, about wrestling this week, due to circumstances beyond my control I did not get to see Smack Down last Thursday, however I got caught up a bit Saturday. Vince McMahon is a complete loser and I can't wait until ERA activists get hold of him for the shit he is pulling on the WWF programs! WWF used to be family entertainment, soon you'll have to order Adult channels such as Playboy to watch it. I could go on and on about my beliefs on this, but I wont!
And on Monday Night RAW we were lucky enough to see the new Commissioner, William Regal, make an "assclown" of himself and see Rocky defend his title as well as Y2J take on the entire RTC. I actually had a few laughs tonight, however I think I should be setting next to JR instead of that freak from ECW!! He is "totally hainous" (I may not be able to spell it, but you get the picture.)! And the Triple H made sure Taker had no chance of making his match against the Big Show for the Hardcore title by knocking his Harley over on him, what a man (yes, I'm using the term loosely).
