Two Cents on American First in this series, I will discuss American Borders, Immigration (both legal & illegal), drugs and other border concerns. In light of recent events, border security for the prevention of terrorism is reason enough, but that is only the tip of the iceberg. American borders have been a sore subject with me for a long time. In this age of "globalization", the trendy term for One-World Government, the borders have become a mere suggestion rather than a hard and fast dividing line. Are borders nothing more than imaginary lines, arbitrarily drawn on a map? I think not! Even in this age of globalization, with many countries apparently subscribing to similar political/social philosophies, there are still many differences both subtle and glaring between nations. The similarities allow us to form alliances, but the differences make us each unique. The idea of National Sovereignty is lost on many people today and I would wager that very few people could even define it, much less grasp the intricate concepts behind it. Which explains, at least in part, why our borders have deteriorated so. Sovereignty - Government free from external control. With Swiss cheese borders, such as we have had for so long, you breed all manner of serious social problems. Not only do you open the door to aspiring entrepreneurial drug lords, but you also open the back door for the flow of stolen property and economic monies out of the U.S. and of course the flow of people back and forth without due process. This is not just limited to the influx of illegal aliens looking for a better life, but also the outflow wanted criminals and a back door entrance for terrorists and others intent on doing harm to this country or it's people. All of these effects of poor border control result in governmental involvement. In essence our government is being controlled, to some degree, by external influences. Illegal aliens affect our welfare system, drugs and terrorism affect our law enforcement system and stolen property/money leaving the country affect our economy. All of which affect the policies our leaders adopt, enact or enforce as well as affecting where we allocate funding which could be better utilized in other areas. Until our borders are secure and immigration is tightly controlled our government will not be free of external control and our lives will be directly affected by the philosophies, ideals and whims those who have no regard for our best interests. Borders serve many purposes, from identifying the boundaries of a nation to providing a barrier to outside influences. They protect those who share a common history and culture from those who do not share that common culture and hold no regard for it other than eliminating it in order to reestablish THEIR culture in a new area rich in resources. America has always been known as a "Melting Pot", a nation of immigrants who came to this country and blended their culture with the cultures of others to create the "American Culture". The tidal wave of illegal immigration, lax legal immigration policies and the rise of multiculturalism have transformed this once great melting pot into something more resembling a salad bowl. The new American Salad Bowl is a variety of hyphenated Americans all tossed in together and each fighting to have their own culture recognized over and above the others. Now don't get me wrong, I am not (I repeat NOT) an isolationist. I know this country was built upon and thrives upon immigration. For the first time in history a country (America) has been invaded without being at war! Immigration unchecked is Invasion! You may have noticed the new banners on my article. They are new to my article, but they are not new to me. I have chosen to do this series of articles because they relate directly to the mission of the Paul Revere Society and they address issues that are of great concern right now and will directly affect our future as a nation. Over the Christmas holidays I read a newspaper article that tried to elicit sympathy for 'undocumented immigrants' (ILLEGAL ALIENS) who would not be able to go back home to Mexico for Christmas because they were afraid they wouldn't be able to get back into the country after the increased security following Sept. 11th. Is it just me or is there something fundamentally WRONG about that? Michael Savage founded The Paul Revere Society (PRS). With a crisis of leadership threatening the United States, PRS stands for the reassertion of our borders, our language, and our culture. Some say that the borders are arbitrary, English is only one of many languages in our new "Multicultural America," and that we share no common history or values. We believe in the Sovereignty of our Nation. That English is our national "glue." And that we all do share in the pillars of the Bible, the U.S. Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. These documents and what they stand for are our common cultural heritage. The Paul Revere Society (PRS) will assert the values inherent in these pillars of freedom. We will seek to educate the citizenry about our nation's freedoms.That's My Two Cents, Deal With It!

You should feel noticeably carefree at the beginning of this week. You will have a happy and outgoing aura about you, that will make everyone keen to spend plenty of time in your company. Work will take a backseat as you are encouraged by friends and partners to dedicate life to partying!
If you have recently been experiencing problems within a relationship, this week should see the final resolution of these. You will find that you are better able than usual to express your feelings and emotions, you will therefore be more able to discuss your problems and find the right solution.
You will now be determined not to waste a single minute of your life, and will be keen to ensure that you gain the maximum benefit from every opportunity that exists. Being especially unselfish, you could be particularly keen on things that will benefit the largest numbers of other people possible.
Your life may have been turned upside down over the past few days by the actions of your friends, however, you will now be keen to regain control over your own thoughts and actions. You have possibly had little time for concentrated work and there are things mounting up that require your immediate attention. Time should go very quickly, as you loose yourself in your work.
If you can remember the dreams you had when you wake up on Tuesday morning, you could find an important message that will benefit you financially. You will however, need to find out exactly what the message will concern. It is most likely to involve a name, you simply need to make the connection, you will not need to put great effort into this.
Children that come with visitors could be the cause for some stress as breakages are likely. Lock away any valuable family heirlooms that you don't want destroyed. A much prized possession could suffer irreparable damage at the hands of boisterous and clumsy small hands!
Take
care that you do not commit yourself to expenses that you can not really
afford. You may also be constantly questioning other people. Unprepared to
simply accept things on face value, you will need to find out all the why's
and where's before you do anything. Several people could become a little
short tempered with you as you will appear to be being deliberately awkward
with your constant questioning. Take care that you allow some time to relax, you are likely to suffer from frayed nerves as the week goes on, you could find that you are starting to feel a little panicked by the demands that are being placed on you. Don't forget to compromise if it is required. You may be best advised to pass on some of your work load, you will do better to tackle a little less, well. Rather than to tackle a lot, poorly.
Subconsciously, you may be trying to test your partner and to find out what they will put up with. You will believe, that they have only been saying and doing what they think you want, and that really they don't love you so much. Luckily, you will have some self control, so you shouldn't create enormous problems and you will soon start to treat them in the way they deserve. |
